Yes ! Brand New and imported directly to the UK from the factory. There will be NO previous owners on the registration document. Your car is NOT a "USED" personal import.

Will My Car Meet Current UK Standards?

Yes ! Each car is individually tested by the vehicle Inspectorate of the Department of Transport. This assures that you the customer get a SAFE and LEGAL new car.

What About Parts Supply For My New Car?

Danbury Motorcarvans can supply direct from the factory all parts for the VW Type 2. We always carry a large stock of parts. This assures you that wherever you are parts are available.

Does My Car Have A Warranty?

Yes ! Your new Type 2 will have Three Year Parts and labour Warranty. Subject to conditions, please ask for details.

Will My New Car Need An MOT After One Year?

No ! As per any other new car your first MOT will be due Three Years from the date of registration.

Do I Have Service Manuals In English?

Yes ! We supply the original manuals translated and each new car comes complete with these.

Can I Part Exchange My Current Car?

Yes ! We would be pleased to value your vehicle whatever Age, Make or Model.

Can You Arrange Finance Facilities?

Yes ! Danbury Motorcarvans are a licensed credit broker and can tailor make finance packages to suit your needs. Deposits from only 10% minimum and up to 10 years to repay. Written details available on request.

Will My New Car Run On Unleaded Fuel?

Yes ! All new VW Types 2s now run on unleaded fuel only and has a catalytic converter exhaust system as standard.

Can I Design My Own Car To Suit My Needs?

Yes! You can choose the colour and specification to meet your needs and pocket!! Just ask to see the large list of options.

Do I Have to Pre Pay For My Car?

No ! We at Danbury Motorcarvans only ask for a non-returnable deposit of £2000.00 at the time of order ( or 10% minimum if using our finance scheme ) 50% of the vehicle order value willbe payable upon your vehicle docking in the UK with the balance payable upon completion prior to registration.

Yes ! We would be happy to attend to all your needs and have at your disposal FULL Paint Spraying and BODY REPAIR facilities PLUS of course a fully trained workshop.

Is The Camper Built By VW?

Yes ! These vehicles are made by VW Brazil. This is a full Volkswagen Plant. All cars produced are built to current VW Quality.

Whats the difference between the 'Danbury Diamond' and the 'Danbury Rio' camper models?

The only difference is the internal design. The 'Diamond' model has a king size bed with a full width rear seat. This model seats 5 as standard and 7 with the optional removable middle row bench seat instead of the storage cabinet by the sliding door. The 'Rio' model has all the furniture to one side of the vehicle and hence has a 3/4 width rear seat that converts to a double bed. The 'Rio' model seats 4 as standard or 6 with the optional removable middle row bench seat. All models are available left or right hand drive and front, middle and rear seat belts are standard fit.


What exterior and interior colours are standard?

Exterior: White paint finish all over is standard. You then have the options of a lower half respray or a total all over respray. You can choose any colour from our range of over 500 colours for resprays!

Interior: All models come with grey wipe clean vinyl seating as standard. Optional cloth or leather is available and samples can be seen on the web site. A vast choice of colours and design is available!


What type of roof is standard?

The factory metal 'low top' roof is standard with the optional raising roof as an option on ALL models. This roof is a great option to choose and means you can then STAND inside the vehicle and you also have a seperate option of having roof beds fitted if required! Great for sleeping kids or adults! There is no heavy lifting required for the optional raising roof as it lifts using gas powered struts and has heavy duty canvass sides so you can use all year round whatever the weather! A smaller 'canvas cab bunk' is also available for younger children or extra storage. This fits over the front cab seats when parked.


What equipment comes with a Danbury camper model?

As standard fit for both the 'Diamond' and 'Rio' model VW campers you get: Cooker with large grill, rear seat / rock 'n' roll bed, 2 x rear spot lights, 2 x middle strip lights, removable rear table, sink with electric tap, opening middle windows x 2, vinyl floor covering ( optional if having middle row bench seat option ) , 'beech' colour storage cupboards / furniture with black work tops, front recoil seat belts and rear seat lap belts. A vast range of various options is also available!


What does lowered suspension offer me?

Having the optional lowered suspension (as the standard steel wheels are too large to fit under the wheel arches with this option: This option is only available with any of our alloy wheel options) will make the vehicle nicer to drive with better road handling and cornering! This option looks great but its purpose is to make the vehicle handle better, especially on motorways and windy days, the fact that it looks good too is an extra bonus! You will still have great ground clearance and this option is NOT a 'boy racer' dragging along the ground with no clearance option!
